History

Child Development program has started to provide education as daytime and evening education as of the 2019-2020 academic fall semester.

Degree Earned

Graduates are awarded an associate degree in Child Development. He can work as an assistant trainer in the public and private sectors. EQF Level 5 Short Level (Associate Degree).

Admission Requirements

Students are admitted according to the TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) score, which is the first session of the university exam YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) prepared by ÖSYM.

Transition to the Upper Stage

If those who have successfully completed their associate degree education are successful in the External Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM; They can transfer vertically to Preschool Teaching, Child Development Teaching and Child Development undergraduate programs.

Graduation Requirements

Students who successfully complete all 120 ECTS courses available in the program and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, a 30-day summer internship is a must for graduation.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the program can find employment in public institutions and private sector nurseries, kindergartens, day care centers and rehabilitation centers.

Assessment and Evaluation

They are subject to midterm and final exams for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is obligatory to get at least 45 points from the final exam. Students who get AA, BA, BB, CB and CC letter grades from a course are considered successful in that course. In addition, students with a grade point average of at least 2.00 for a semester are considered successful in the courses they received with a DC letter grade. At the end of each semester, students can take a make-up exam from at most two courses of that semester.
